Billy the Kid and the Vampyres of Vegas A Lost Story from the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel eBook Michael Scott

Compared to the other short story Mr Scott put forth about Joan Of Arc, this one wins out. Hands down.
The clever wit and chemistry that the characters have makes this a fun and playful story. And we see a side of both Billy and Scatty we haven't before. Sadly, there was no threat. We know what the end of the story will be because it's set before the Nicholas Flamel series. And while the back story is great, there is no where to go. No worry that our heroes might not make it.
If you've read the series, this is a great expansion. For those just finding this story and the series, I hope you read the shorts first. That way you might be able to review it more fairly than I.

Billy the Kid and the Vampyres of Vegas A Lost Story from the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel eBook Michael Scott Reviews

I've read only one other Michael Scott novel, The Alchemist, but was enchanted. This short story was a an easy reminder of why I was taken with the first novel. Bright, visual descriptions, intriguing characters and settings move you through the story without weighing it down. Since I just cleared out a closet and found four more of his books that my daughter had collected I'll be reading more of this author momentarily.
This is a good background piece that will enhance Micheal Scott's Nicholas Flamel series. The story takes place before the events of the main series. Just as with the Joan of Arc short piece it give a little more information on Scatty. I enjoyed it.
Billy the Kid and the Vampyres of Vegas definitely deserves five stars in my book! I choose this rating because it's a brilliant "lost story" and Michael Scott, again, delivers excellently. He keeps the characters in character, even when this isn't technically part of the series. Overall, I loved it.
I really liked the idea for the story. I mean, even the title is catchy! Billy is hilarious, and I love him, so I was very comfortable with the story, since it was told mostly in his view point. (Though in the third person.) I'm a huge fan of Michael Scott's work, and this was definitely awesome to read, especially after reading the main series.
I would recommend this product to fans of The Secrets Of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel series, and fans of Michael Scott. Fantasy readers would enjoy this too, but probably more if they read the series first, since this is a little add-on. I'm very happy with this book I found it witty, action-packed, and interesting.
Keep up the good work Michael Scott!
An GREAT short story to go along with the amazing series "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" by Michael Scott. Focusing on two of the series' most popular characters, Scathach and Billy the Kid, this "lost" story is set only a few short years before the main storyline of the 6 book series takes place. Billy and Scathach, who in the main series act as though they have never met, team up to take down some bloodsucking vampyres! And what better place to have savage vampyres controlling then the sin city of Las Vegas, NV? But, Scathach is after a bit more then revenge when she enlists the help of the Kid.

This short companion story is fast paced and full of action! Scott does an amazing job of keeping the story moving along, while at the same time throwing in little bits that gives us some insight into why these two characters act the way they do when it comes to the main books.

A fantastic quick read! Worth every penny!
This novella could be read on its own, but it is really intended as a bonus story for fans of the Flamel series. In The Warlock (#5) we hear that Scathach & Billy the Kid had great adventures together. This novella is the first one. It tells how they met, fought monsters together and separately (including a boss), and went on from there. And since that's a good stopping place, it stops. Plenty of action in a small package and insight for the (much) larger series.
My son and started reading the Alchemyst series a while back, and we both love the mix of mythology, fiction and history. Scott creates a rich world of characters (some of which I hope he returns to when this series is over).

We also started reading the short stories to tide us over between books, and that's where "Billy the Kid and the Vampyres of Vegas" comes in. We both really liked Billy's character when he was introduced into the main story, so we were delighted to find a short story of his own.

We were even happier to discover that it "co-stars" Scathach!

This book fills in a little more of the back story of Billy as well as that of Scathach and her sister.

The resolution seems to come a little quickly, but fans of the characters will not be left wanting for action. In fact this story makes me hope that Scott will decide to write further tales of the side characters from the Alchemyst series.
This is a short read in the series Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, a series that must be read in order. Don't start with this one--it just won't make sense!

This series is one of my very favorites and these small snippets are so delightful. They keep me sated whilst impatiently waiting for the next full installment. Of course, there's that other part of me that wants to yell at Scott to quit teasing me with this stuff and get back to work on the full series!

Scathach, an ancient creature, and Billy the Kid, an immortal, team up, very reluctantly, to deliver Pandora's box to Scatty's arch enemy. This enemy is also her greatest love lost--and the leader of the succubuths in Las Vegas. Billy the Kid and Scathach are my favorite characters and watching them together in this story was a real hoot. Sparks were definitely flying. I loved the tension bwetween these two and see so many possibilities.....

Although it was very short, it was full of the very best of the series and good enough to be its own full-lenght story.
Compared to the other short story Mr Scott put forth about Joan Of Arc, this one wins out. Hands down.
