"Sparkly vampires?"
I sat down next to him. "Yes. It's..."
"It's what?"
It was obvious he was trying not to laugh at me, but it was too late to change my mind. I had to say it. "It's so romantic. He wants her so much, but he doesn't just take her," our eyes met and I knew what he was thinking, "even though she wants him to. And she's so sure he's the one for her."
He raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, shut up!" I mock-punched him in the shoulder.
"I didn't say anything."
"I could hear you thinking."
"Well aren't you the talented one?"
We looked into each other's eyes for a beat longer than you do with anyone but a lover. Then he leaned in and kissed me, his lips soft against mine. I relaxed into the kiss, feeling at ease with him in a very unfamiliar way.
I'd been acting tough for so long, it wasn't really an act any more. But I didn't feel the need to be like that with him. Not all the time anyway. And that was something I still hadn't got used to.
He put his hands up to cradle my face and kissed me until my eyes fell closed and I grabbed up handfuls of his t-shirt. When we parted, his eyes were full of need and my lips were numb.

I rate a book based on the likelihood that I will read it again. For sure, I will revisit Janelle and Greg at a later date. In fact, I wish I had a post-post-epilogue (if there is such a thing). I did get aggravated when I thought the units had to be purchased individually at those high prices, but my feathers calmed when I saw the whole story available in one volume.Was this book the next great novel? No, and in part, here's why:
1. Not a lot was shared about each character's past. His father and her mother made small appearances, but no other family was mentioned and very little of their backgrounds was revealed. This didn't take away from the story, but more details would probably have added more depth to the characters.

2. Several unresolved issues left me curious but not irritated. What happened to Greg's father? Where did the funds come from to make the major purchases they made? And the trip they took? Where was Deanne? I could go on a while about other observations; these are just a few.
3. I wished there had been a little more conflict. The issues that came up were solved relatively quickly. Perhaps having them more drawn out and with more confrontation would have made it that much juicier.
4. Janelle supported him through a difficult situation, but Greg never mentioned how he felt about her positive support.
5. The content was a little lacking, but the author's writing style took care of that issue.
The rest of the story was so interesting that I forgot all about that stuff.
Here's the good part-
1. Race was mentioned, but not overdone; just enough to add a little spice.
2. I loved their relationship. It was so obvious how much they cared about each other and theirs could be a lifetime love.
3. The love scenes scorched me through my kindle. Whew!!!
4. I loved that there was a lot of dialogue between Janelle and Greg. There were no lulls that would normally make me want to skip pages.
So, was this a perfect read? No, but I don't care. Will I be thinking about Janelle and Greg for a long time to come? Yes. Would I like to see more of them? Of course.
Would I recommend read? DEFINITELY!

First time read by this author... Nice simple read sex was very good too. When I first started to read I thought it was going to be sex without a story but it did have a storyline . Need a fast fix this is it .
The story was really good. There was so issues that I wish the author would have solve and the story was a little rush. Overall, I really like both characters and the book

I expected something a little spicier but it was still an okay read. I got a little boring and I almost just stopped reading it, but I believe in finising what I start so... Anyway, it wasn't a particularly good read, but it wasn't a bad read either.
Wow, I really really enjoyed this, it turned out to be a sweet romance with just enough hot scenes to spice it up. I would definitely recommend this and also try other works by this author.
Great little BFWM romance novel. Very sexual & well written with a well developed plot. I am a straight male reader but enjoy an occasional BFWM romance story if its not too sappy. About a white biker chef that strolls into a bar & meets an attractive black self employed business woman that owns two spa's. Well developed characters & steamy sex!
I really enjoy reading Gordon's books. I wanted to give this book a 3 1/2 but don't know how? Her love scenes are Hot Hot Hot But I needed more info about the racist father and the best friend who thru her under the bus . I guess u could have a book 2 But I feel it should have happen in this book I kept waiting for Janelle to cuss out her friend & for the father to cause some more trouble & maybe come around But again u did not know Y he & father had problems ?? Worth reading if u like hot love scenes & sappy true love stories which I do!!!
Inter/multiracial romance is a guilty pleasure of mine and this book fell into it. I thoroughly, without a doubt enjoyed it. I actually recommended to a friend after I read it.
The plot was really good. I enjoyed the little dramas that happened. I understood the situations because I have been in some of the situations. As a black Asian woman, I don't have that many black friends, but my black relatives have kind of side-glanced my white lover and dating white men, sometimes their families are either accepting or downright cruel.
I would have loved to see if Janelle really went through with Errol's charges and still remained good friends with Deanna. I would have loved to see more interaction between Greg and his father as well as women throwing themselves at Greg because he is a handsome man.
All in all, good story.
